Land of Mist and Sunshine

In the morning we sat on the porch in rocking chairs as night turned to day through the mist.  Evenings we rocked back and forth watching some incredible sunsets.
This was the view from our porch.

Relax and enjoy the views or get out and drive to the many sites in the area.

There is no way to describe the changing beauty of the Smoky mountains.  We stayed in a cabin on top of a mountain above Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.  It was a very relaxing week and the view was incredible.

The Roaring Fork motor nature trail near Gatlinburg was well worth the effort. Even if you do not get out and hike, it will take you back in time.  Drive slow and enjoy the incredible views.

We had a small family reunion in the Smokies.  Three families shared a four bedroom cabin.  There was plenty of room and great views.  The only problem we encountered was finding a scorpion on the concrete patio at the entrance and being warned by the staff not to throw away food in the outside trash cans because of the bears!
